Westcon appointed authorised distributor by Broadcom for Symantec in Asia Pacific

Westcon, the leading technology distributor, has today announced that it signed an Asia Pacific aggregator agreement with Broadcom for the Symantec product line. Symantec has evolved to become a global leader in cyber security, operating one of the world’s largest cyber intelligence networks.

The aggregator agreement further strengthens Westcon’s portfolio of cybersecurity offerings. The addition of Symantec solutions provides a comprehensive, integrated and industry-leading cyber security solution for enterprises to protect their users and information from the most sophisticated attacks.

Broadcom’s new Partner Program which includes the new classification of Aggregator has been designed to grow partners’ businesses through simplified pricing, better margins, and richer benefits. Westcon’s role is to drive long-term, profitable and predictable growth for Broadcom and its channel partners through scalable and efficient routes to market, specialist services, proven sales enablement and data-driven demand generation.

Patrick Aronson, Executive Vice President of Westcon APAC, said: “We are delighted to announce this new partnership with Broadcom in ANZ and across the APAC region. We are fully focused on providing the solutions, support and services that partners have come to rely on from Westcon-Comstor – and which have made us the leading specialised cybersecurity distributor in the region.

“Businesses today have high expectations from their cybersecurity vendors, both in their technology investments and in the support and responsiveness they expect from their suppliers,” commented Anand Alamuru, Director of Enterprise Sales and Support of Westcon APAC. “Broadcom chose Westcon to meet these expectations because of its unrivalled expertise, deep channel partnerships across all key regions (ANZ, ASEAN, Korea and Greater China) and digital distribution platform, which manages and optimises the customer and partner lifecycle at scale.”

“We are really excited about the opportunities this new distribution agreement presents,” says Aronson. “It allows us to provide long term, loyal Broadcom partners with even more flexible, responsive and agile support. We’re confident that the new approach will drive even higher levels of end customer satisfaction and loyalty.”
